Cuenta la historia de muchas mujeres expuestas en soledad a la mitificada maternidad. Tras varias advertencias, Ade echa a su amiga Pepa de su casa y esta termina viéndose en la calle junto a Leila, su hija de seis años. Sin nadie que las ayude, Pepa y Leila lucharán solas para encontrar un lugar donde vivir. Enfrentándose a cada obstáculo, emprenderán una búsqueda que conllevará también un acercamiento dentro de su relación antes prácticamente inexistente y distante. Se creará un nuevo vínculo entre madre e hija, dónde tendrán cabida las equivocaciones y la desidealización.
